Thursday Trailer Shootout! – Flight, Premium Rush, The Babymakers, Django Unchained, Ice Age, Life of Pi

Thursday Trailer Shootout! is my bi-weekly segment where I post a handful of trailers that I might have missed but have an interest in, whether for good……or evil!
Note: It’s a heavy page worth every minute you spend on it, please be patient while it loads

First up! - Flight, starring Denzel Washington. Directed by Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Cast Away), Flight tells the story of an investigation into an airline pilot's miracle emergency landing, one that uncovers disturbing facts.

Premium Rush - Well, this one sounds pretty original at least. Directed by David Koepp, who is, according to Wikipedia, the fourth most successful screen writer of all-time in terms of domestic box office receipts. His credits include writing Jurassic Park, Mission Impossible, the Sam Raimi directed Spider-Man, and......Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. His directing, let's just say it hasn't been as big a hit as his writing.

The Babymakers - Jay Chandrasekhar of Broken Lizard is the director. His work has been some of the best comedy you've seen in the past decade, including Super Troopers, Beerfest, Club Dread, and even a few episodes of Community. Translation: this movie will probably kick ass.

Django Unchained - Here is the new international trailer. It's Quentin Tarantino's latest, starring Jamie Fox, Christoph Waltz, Don Johnson, and Leonardo DiCaprio. Need I say more?

Ice Age: Continental Drift - As I wrote when the first trailer was featured in Thursday Trailer Shootout!, these Ice Age movies are a massive cash cow with a relatively small budget. I saw this trailer on the big screen last night when I went to see Prometheus (review to show up later) and it looks like #4 will be no different.

Life of Pi - fans of the acclaimed Yann Martel novel will no doubt be very giddy to see this first footage from the Ang Lee film. People who have no clue what Life of Pi is will say "well, that was fuckin' stupid". Either way you have it, here it is.
