The Darkness’ New Album Hot Cakes – #MusicMonday Album of the Week

Spotify has an embed feature called the Play Button that I didn't know about until recently. So I've decided I'm going to use it for a new Music Monday Album of the Week segment. Here's the catch. You need to have Spotify. It's fucking awesome, and it's free. Just click the link on the first word of this post (the one that says Spotify fuckheads).

Today's album is the latest from The Darkness, titled Hot Cakes, which was released on my birthday, August 20th. It's the first studio album with the OG band since 2003's Permission to Land. This is about the third or fourth time I've been listening to it and I'm starting to really like it. It's most definitely different from their previous work, but it grew on me.

I'm pretty sure I love the first three songs (Every Inch of You, Nothin's Gonna Stop Us, and With a Woman), same with Everybody Have A Good Time, and Street Spirit (Fade Out), the Radiohead cover I featured for their Music Monday post.
