I'd been very much looking forward to seeing this first trailer for the Steven Spielberg directed Lincoln, starring Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln, aka the 16th US President, aka the president most responsible for ending slavery. Buuuuut I'm a little thrown off by it, specifically by the voice Day-Lewis is using for the role. He sounds....younger, or...I don't know how the hell to describe it, it's just off.
Sure, maybe it's historically accurate. But I was more expecting something like what we saw in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Hopefully Spielberg's vision will change my mind.
