New Super Mario Bros was a step back into the now classic video games of the 80's and 90's, in fact it was the first side-scrolling Mario game since 1992's Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. It was also a massive cash cow for Nintendo, selling 26 million copies, which stands as the best selling game for the DS, as well as being the third best-selling non-bundled game of all time.
New Super Mario Bros 2 has added a new dimension on the Nintendo 3DS, which is a reason I would buy it for sure if I had one, or the time for that matter. I fucking love 3D. The game hits the US shelves on August 19th. GameXplain's Andre Segers had the chance to do a full video review, take a look at what he thought. I love how he points out the laziness in the music department.
