DouBle B’s College Football Picks – Week 9 (Clemson/Wake on Thursday, The Rest on Friday)

It's College Football Season! I've decided to give my inconceivably accurate predictions on who I think will win in each top 25 (according to ESPN at least) matchup, plus the Washington Huskies and Washington State Cougars. Look for it each Wednesday, sometimes Thursday or Friday's.

Week 8 "Expert" Analysis

It was awful. Bodies everywhere, mostly wearing purple and gold jerseys with football gear. Yes, I speak of the Washington Huskies embarrassing 52-17 loss to Arizona last Saturday. It's one of those games that can drive a man to do terrible things. I'm not going to do terrible things, but I understand the feeling of needing to do something awful because your favorite teams best skill lately is sucking.

The Cougs? They mercifully had the week off. Good for them.

As for the Seahawks, not all, but most, momentum they had from the victory over the Pats was lost in 13-6 to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday.

On the bright side, I did pick em like a champ, going 17-3, including two upsets. I'm gettin' better at this for sure.

The Game of the Week was a beatdown in favor of the team I didn't pick, the Kansas State Wildcats, who took care of Geno Smith's Heisman hopes with a 55-14 victory. Collin Klein, who might now be the frontrunner, was incredible, going 19-21 for 323 yards and three touchdowns through the air to go along with four rushing td's. That's seven touchdowns people.

#5 Notre Dame's trip to Oklahoma Memorial Stadium to take on the #8 Sooners is The DouBle B Reviews Game of the Week. The Sooners are playing like Big 12 title contenders since their 24-19 loss to Kansas State on September 22nd, Notre Dame has had a few close calls lately and face the best team they've seen so far this year. Should be an awesome game.

4:30PM (PST)
#18 Clemson Tigers(6-1, 3-1 ACC)
Wake Forest Demon Deacons (4-3, 2-3 ACC

Have I said I love watching this Clemson team play? Sure, they've been giving up points, but they're scoring them too, with style. The only game I saw of Wake Forest was their 52-0 loss to FSU, which prompted me to think FSU was going undefeated for sure this regular season.
